12-year-old Kylus has been training for battle his entire life, preparing to fulfill his destiny by wielding a legendary weapon and destroying a great evil. But it turns out that saving his people will require something that he never trained for: convincing a strange and magical girl named Faira to fall in love with him. Something that is, in a word, impossible. Now, for the first time, Kylus will have to look beyond his destiny to figure out what kind of a hero he truly wants to be.
